In August 2020, Google switched from the classic website creating tool to New Google Sites. This new service has its own limitations but it allows far more embed code than classic Sites' HTML Box does. In contrast, Classic Sites is much restrictive when it comes to externally referencing JavaScript or CSS files in external files - whereas New Site's default provides this functionality with ease.

Starting June 2022, editing of remaining classic sites will be disabled and from July 2022 it will be automatically transitioned to New Google Sites. For more information about the transition schedule, please visit this link.

For those who are still using Google Sites, there is now the option to delete them, download entirely or transition to New Google Sites.

There is a website called Classic Sites Manager that can help you manage Google sites. You can see all of your changes, edits and revisions to date. If you need information on site owners and changing them, chances are it's right there-all in one place!

We can help you with all of these tasks, but it's important to note that the transition from July 2022 may be chaotic because of the different layout and format structure.
